Lora
Directed and produced by Gábor Herendi, Lora marked a bold shift from his earlier comedies into the realm of romantic drama. The story follows Lora (Lucia Brawley), a young woman who loses her lover in a tragic accident and retreats into emotional isolation. When she meets Geri (Péter Nagy), the brother of the man she lost, an unexpected connection begins to heal them both — blurring the lines between love, loss and forgiveness in a deeply human story.
Released in 2007 and produced by Skyfilm, the film showcased Herendi’s range as a director, pairing visual sophistication with heartfelt storytelling. Featuring a strong ensemble cast, striking cinematography by Márton Szekanov, and a memorable score by Róbert Hrutka, Lora earned several festival accolades, including at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. A tender, visually rich drama that proved Skyfilm’s storytelling reaches far beyond comedy.
