Set within the beloved universe of the original films directed by Gábor Herendi and Gergely Ipacs, Valami Amerika series introduces a new sibling trio—Marci, Zita and Balázs—as they find themselves entangled in family loyalty, mafia debt and a high-stakes talent show. Premiering in autumn 2023 on RTL Magyarország’s streaming platform and later airing on linear TV with a double-episode launch on September 6 2025, the 10-episode season cleverly blends legacy‐faces from the films with fresh talent, pop music and show-business madness.

With its nods to the original ensemble, vibrant soundtrack (featuring breakout star Azahriah), and sharp comedy-drama twist, the series brings the spirit of the cinematic trilogy back into the 21st century. Produced by Skyfilm, it re-energises a national pop-culture brand while offering a standalone story that fans old and new can enjoy.
